Michael J. Doyle’s legal experience includes twenty-five years as corporate counsel with International Paper Company and General Electric Company. Mr. Doyle was formerly Chief Counsel – Intellectual Property, at International Paper.  He has extensive U.S. and foreign experience in business transactions, negotiation, licensing, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, business counseling, infringement opinions and litigation, patent enforcement and exploitation, and legal opinions (including validity, infringement, enforcement, and patentability opinions).  He is a frequent lecturer and panelist at Continuing Legal Education programs involving business transactions.

Education: Mr. Doyle is a 1979 graduate of Fordham University School of Law (J.D.), and a 1976 graduate of College of the Holy Cross (majoring in Chemistry).

Courts, Admissions and Bar Registrations: Mr. Doyle is a member of the New York State bar and is admitted to practice in a number of U.S. District and Appeals Courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.  He is also a registered practitioner before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
